Satinderjeet Singh, widely known as “Goldy Brar,” is an Indian organized-crime figure who was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on September 28, 2026. The FBI identifies Singh as a fugitive federal defendant and alleges that he serves as the North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi organized-crime enterprise.
The FBI's announcement made Singh the 543rd addition to the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list since its creation in 1950. The agency is offering a reward of up to US$1 million for information leading to his arrest.
Alleged role in the Bishnoi enterprise
According to a federal indictment cited by the U.S. Department of Justice, Singh was a trusted lieutenant of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is imprisoned in India. Prosecutors allege that Singh helped direct members and associates of the organization internationally and acted as a representative of Bishnoi.
U.S. authorities describe the Bishnoi enterprise as a transnational criminal organization that has allegedly operated across India, the United States, Canada and other countries. The FBI says the organization has been investigated for alleged racketeering, extortion, targeted killings and narcotics-related offenses. These allegations remain matters for the U.S. federal courts.
Federal charges in the United States
Singh faces federal charges in Los Angeles, including RICO conspiracy, conspiracy involving extortion and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances with intent to distribute. The charges are allegations, and Singh has not been convicted in the U.S. case.
The indictment also alleges that Singh and Bishnoi were involved in ordering the 2023 killing of a prominent political and religious figure in Canada, identified in U.S. court documents by the initials “H.S.N.” The FBI states that the victim was killed outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia. Singh's alleged involvement remains part of the federal prosecution rather than an established conviction.
Operation Hardball
The addition of Goldy Brar to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list followed Operation Hardball, a years-long investigation into India-based transnational organized-crime groups. In July 2026, U.S. authorities announced indictments against 37 defendants connected to three organizations.
According to the FBI, several defendants had already been arrested or were in custody, while Singh remained among the fugitives being sought. The FBI's Los Angeles Field Office is conducting the investigation with the Los Angeles Police Department, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other international partners.
The FBI currently lists Satinderjeet Singh among its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives. Authorities have warned the public not to approach him and instead to provide information directly to law enforcement.
Legal status
Satinderjeet Singh should be described as a fugitive federal defendant facing allegations, not as a convicted criminal in the U.S. proceedings described above. His placement on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list reflects the seriousness of the allegations and the priority given to locating him, but it does not itself constitute a conviction.
His addition to the list marks a significant new phase in the international investigation surrounding the Lawrence Bishnoi enterprise and places Goldy Brar among the fugitives currently being pursued by the FBI.
